Administrator

The city Administrator presents recommendations and information to enable the City Commission to make decisions on matters of policy and responds promptly and positively to all inquiries and requests of citizens.

Assessor

The West Fargo Assessment Department is responsible for the assessment of real estate for property tax purposes.

Building

The City of West Fargo helps ensure construction of safe buildings and protects community character through building code regulations and zoning laws.

Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement Office is responsible for the enforcement of the City ordinances and codes relating to nuisances, planning and zoning violations, dangerous buildings, vacant building registrations and health code issues not under the direction of the Fargo Cass Health Department.

Communication

The Communications Division is charged with managing communications for the City of West Fargo.

Economic Development

The Economic Development Department connects new and existing business owners and operators with city officials, helping to pave the way for the growth and expansion that is making West Fargo part of North Dakota’s new economic frontier.

Emergency Management

The Emergency Preparedness Office is responsible for the coordination of preparedness activities relating to natural, human-caused, and technological incidents that lead to emergencies, disasters, or catastrophes.

Engineering

Dan Hanson, PE, currently serves as the city's engineer.

Fargo Cass Public Health

Their services include: immunizations, home health visits, family planning, WIC, health promotion, programs, environmental health, and public health emergency preparedness and response.

Finance

The Finance Department provides financial support services to the entire City government organization.

The mission of the West Fargo Forestry Department is to promote and maintain a safe and healthy urban forest that enhances the visual appeal and environmental quality of the City of West Fargo.
