SCOUTING FOR FOOD FOR LOCAL FOOD BANK
Area Boy Scouts will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Fargo Food Pantry beginning 9 AM and going to noon on March 23. Area residents are asked to place donated items in shopping bags or boxes and set the items outside their door and visible from the street prior to 9 AM the morning of the 23rd. Please avoid donating containers made from glass due to the potential of breakage. A drop off site will also be available at the West Fargo Sunmart, 1100 13th Ave E, from 9 until noon on the 23rd.
The Scouting for Food program is a yearly event involving Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts from the West Fargo and Horace area. The Pantry counts on the program as one of their more successful food drives. Food stocks typically are down this time of year and Scouting for Food will carry the Pantry into the summer months. There are many people in need of the assistance provided by the Pantry.
