The West Fargo Summer D.A.R.E. Camp has been cancelled this year. 

West Fargo Schools and West Fargo Police announce that the West Fargo D.A.R.E. Program is being discontinued.

Curriculum changes within the schools now allow for more information to be presented in the classroom, similar to that being taught in D.A.R.E.  Also, the expansion of West Fargo Schools will dictate the need for another school resource officer and the funding utilized for the D.A.R.E. Program will be re-directed towards an additional SRO. 

Both the West Fargo Schools and police department believe the D.A.R.E. Program has played a key role in helping students make better decisions as youth and into their adult life.  The program succeeded because of an excellent partnership between both schools and police with two excellent officers teaching D.A.R.E. since its inception into the schools in 1996.  Officer Stacy Dawkins 1996 to 1999 and Officer Eric Wiinanen 1999 to 2012.

Both West Fargo Schools and the police department will continue to help our students/youth make positive decisions and work together to promote a more healthier life style.
